Dropshipping Crash Course Review (Sebastian Ghorghiu Course)
If you have ever watched dropshipping videos on YouTube, then you might have run across a guy named Sebastian Ghorghiu who has a popular YouTube channel where he discusses dropshipping and Shopify. He also has a course on Teachable called the Drop Shipping Crash Course.
But, is it worth the $594 price??
Dropshipping Crash Course Pros & Cons
[pros-cons]What is Dropshipping Crash Course?
Dropshipping Crash Course is a dropshipping course by Sebastian Ghorghiu.
It is essentially meant to teach you how to make money online with dropshipping. It has around 8 modules.
Make sure you read the entire review to make an informed decision if Dropshipping Crash Course by Sebastian Ghorghiu is right for you or not!
Who is Dropshipping Crash Course for?
This course is mainly intended for people who want to start drop shipping. If you are a beginner and want to understand the ins and outs of drop shipping, you may want to try this course, but remember that you will have to spend $594. Most of the information shared in this course is something that most marketers with just one year of experience will know.
Who is Sebastian Ghorghiu, The Founder of Dropshipping Crash Course?
Sebastian is a 19-year-old man with a popular YouTube channel claiming that he has 18 months of experience in drop shipping, as well as other types of online businesses, which include affiliate marketing.
As mentioned on his Teachable profile, he has an ambitious goal of making $5 to $10 million in real estate. If you check out his YouTube channel, you will notice that he loves clickbait tiles and talks about the luxurious lifestyle that dropshipping has offered him. These types of claims and talking about luxurious lifestyles are quite common in the world of Shopify dropshipping gurus.
What is Included in Dropshipping Crash Course?
His crash course costs $594, which is on the high side, especially when you compare it to similar courses like ones from Matthew Sabia and Tanner Planes.
The course is hosted at Teachable, which is a popular platform for online educational courses. Once you have purchased a course hosted on Teachable, you log in, and all of the videos and other course materials are conveniently located in one place.
The course is made of up of 8 modules – which is divided up into eight weekly topics. There are also a few bonuses included.
Week 1: Introduction
There is a total of 5 videos. They are rather unusual, but in video 3, when Sebastian claimed to have earned $600 in dropshipping on the first day, I began to become quite skeptical. I have built many e-commerce stores and tested many niches, and it is improbable that he won $600 on the first day. The chances of finding a profitable product and getting it instantly from your target audience are difficult to assess. This is very unlikely, especially considering that Facebook ads are not optimized during the first 24 hours.
Even though he managed to earn $600, it is sales income and not a profit at home. So, once you subtract the cost of the product, advertising, and other expenses, his profit could have been between $150 and $200 at most – if he had made $600 in sales.
The Introduction module also contains an inspirational video and an overview of its strategy.
Week 2: Find products
Considering that a dropshipping business model is based entirely on the products you sell; I was quite surprised to see that this module only contained two short videos.
There’s no substance here, and he’s talking about using AliExpress, Facebook, Instagram and Twitters to find products for sale. So, there is no new information here.
What is quite disturbing in this module is that Sebastian recommends that you start by selling branded products. Since it’s illegal, it’s horrible advice. You cannot build a legitimate long-term business based on illegal practices.
The central theme of this module is that you must choose products that are based either on a passion (e. g. sport) or a problem (e. g. health). That’s good advice, but again, it’s not new.
Week 3: Finding Niches
In the first video, Sebastian gives some examples of niches that are supposed to be profitable. I am a little skeptical, and I wonder if he would give away his profitable niches. I guess we have to take his word for it.
The other three videos contain essential information that can easily be found for free online on blogs and YouTube videos. There is information on how to price your products and write descriptions, and some short videos on how to add comments and import products.
Week 4: Traffic promotion and control
In this module, Sebastian explains how to generate traffic to your Shopify store to make sales. The first video is a summary of Instagram’s marketing. This is essential information that you can find for free online.
The following video shows you how to get false tastes and followers. Now, why would you want to create fake followers? It’s a waste of time and unethical. You need real customers to buy your products, not fake fans. Robot accounts do not buy products.
There is a video on how to avoid competitive and supersaturated niches, which is a little ironic since it provides you with the product for sale (which all the other students in its course will also target).
The last two videos explain how to create ads, which you can quickly learn on your own.
Sebastian gives an overview of his store and explains why he converted so well. He provides us with an overview of the situation, and it is interesting. We need to make sure that he is telling the truth about what happened.
Week 5: From 0 to 1,000
This module contains ten videos. This is the central part of the course and lasts a little over an hour in total.
The first video is about finding your “Golden Product.” Actually, it’s just a rehearsal of his niche search module.
The second video focuses on importing and writing product descriptions. Again, he has already covered that.
From there, you will learn how to build your Shopify store, including installing applications and adding the Facebook pixel. For complete beginners, this information can be useful, but do you really need to spend nearly $600 to learn this?
Other videos in this module tend to repeat the information that was discussed earlier in the course.
Week 6: Instagram Marketing
This module focuses on getting free organic traffic and followers (what about bot followers?)
The main idea here is to develop your Instagram platform to make sales from your follower without the need to use Influencers or Facebook ads. This may sound good, but you will need to spend a lot of time interacting with followers and motivating them to buy products from you. People don’t just go to random Instagram accounts, check if they have a Shopify store and purchase products in it. It doesn’t work that way.
Besides, getting followers on Instagram is not so easy, especially since Instagram started blocking all accounts that showed only one sign of being a fake account created by a bot.
Week 7: Facebook Advertising
After Sebastian announced in previous modules that you could make sales without having to use Facebook ads, he includes in his course a module on how to use them. It’s a little strange.
This module teaches you how to set up your Facebook ad account and how to create your ads. There is not really any detailed discussion on how to target your audience (which is essential to make sales with Facebook ads).
Personally, I would like this module to contain much more content and include information on topics such as converting Facebook ads and scaling up winning ads. This module is more of a basic overview of how to configure your FB ads than how to really boost Facebook ad sales and profits.
Actually, what you get in this module is something you can get for free on your you and in an even more detailed way. For me, this module was not also worth a single penny because he only features about the setup, but what about the optimization. Facebook advertisement is relatively new then Google ads but is still is super competitive and targeting the right audience with the right product is something that requires patience and enough money for trial and errors.
Week 8: Twitter Advertising
This module explains how to use Twitter advertising for marketing your products. Consider that most people do not use Twitter advertising; it seems a little strange to include it, especially since it is not covered in most other drop shipping courses. It contains two short videos on how to set up your ads and optimize them.
The video is not much detail, and so you won’t be able to understand how this guy chooses the product to promote. I mean what’s really essential in any business is understanding customers need. You might have access to hundreds and thousands of visitors per month, but if you’re not promoting the right product to right people, you will ever make any sale.
This is precisely what I’m concerned about in this module. If by just following the video, I invest a significant amount on Twitter ads but and able to even get what I spent, then I will be in complete loss plus I also paid for this course.
Bonus
These are just a few downloadable templates and checklists. They include a launch checklist, an Instagram scale tactic, and an Instagram influencer model (poorly written and poorly scripted).
Refund policy
On the sales page, it says that if you are not satisfied with the course and have taken less than 15% of the course within the first ten days, you can get a refund. So basically, after looking at the introduction, you won’t be able to get a refund. This is a very unfair refund policy.
Personal Experience With Dropshipping Crash Course
After going through four modules, I don’t think Dropshipping Crash Course by Sebastian Ghorghiu is worth $594.
Most of the videos are super short, and the content this guy shares is absolutely rubbish. I mean there is absolutely no actionable content. This course is actually going to create even more questions in your mind related to dropshipping, but the problem is you won’t be able to get answers to those questions in this course. You’ll have to do your own research, or you’ll have to buy someone else product or course for which again you will have to spend hundreds of dollars.
Poor content with weak money back guarantee basically means that you will lose ( just like me) all your money if you are even thinking of trying out this course.
I’m telling this again if you are a newbie and if you’re getting into drop shipping, then there are few valuable information which you can gain in this course. But if you are a seasoned marketer, then you will hardly find anything useful in it.
Dropshipping Crash Course Scam?
Nope, Dropshipping Crash Course is not a scam however, there are definitely better courses out there you can get like eCom Elites.
Is there a Discount Code?
There is no discount/coupon for Sebastian Ghorghiu’s Dropshipping Crash Course.
There are other sites claiming they either have Dropshipping Crash Course Coupon or Dropshipping Crash Course Discount but, this is definitely not true. Also, Dropshipping Crash Course Nulled or Dropshipping Crash Course Free is not a thing.
Dropshipping Crash Course Final Verdict
Sebastian Ghorghiu’s Dropshipping Crash Course is not a scam, but for the asking price of $594, it is a short course with little concrete content.
The course tends to repeat itself quite often, and most of the information is basic stuff that you could easily find online for free. There is not much strategy or advanced tactics. Most of the time, it is a matter of setting up.
In my opinion, there are much better courses that are offered at the same or a lower cost. The money back guarantees that this guy offers also very unfair.
Dropshipping Crash Course Alternative
Now I have personally bought a ton of dropshipping courses out there. I even review a lot of them on my blog. Generally, these gurus try to sell you a lifestyle of getting rich and successful that’s why they charge a ridiculous amount for the information they sell.
Their courses typically aren’t even comprehensive at all. They focus all their efforts trying to market their course so, they can make more money from course sales.
I do however think that dropshipping courses are worth it if they are good. They will save you a ton of time and hassle that’s why I highly recommend a solid dropshipping course.
I have been dropshipping for a long time and I have built profitable stores (I currently do affiliate marketing though) and I highly recommend you check out this course called eCom Elites. (I did a review on this, make sure you read it!)
It’s by Franklin Hatchett who has been doing dropshipping WAY before it was famous.
This course definitely has helped me increase my eCommerce income before. However, I don’t do dropshipping anymore because I am focused on affiliate marketing.
Now, this is not another expensive garbage guru course. It’s one of the best & most affordable dropshipping / eCommerce course out there.
