eCom Lifestyle University Review
(Ricky Hayes Shopify Course)

If you are here for a review on eCom Lifestyle University, I welcome you with open arms. The course is created and developed by Ricky Hayes, a small YouTuber who claims to have made hundreds of dollars through Shopify dropshipping.

The course is valued at $5,998 but priced at $997, which is just another cheap marketing technique. Is this the right course for you? My review will assist you in solving the doubt.

eCom Lifestyle University Pros & Cons

[pros-cons]

What is eCom Lifestyle University Work?

A six-week training course by Ricky Hayes, eCom Lifestyle University is a step-by-step guide to solve the dropshipping industry’s biggest challenges. He tackles the issues all of us face when we are just starting out. All marketing and advertising strategies are targeted toward building a strong brand and boosting conversion rates.

Ricky has tried to cover a large number of topics under the course including how to build a lasting relationship with product suppliers, finding the best advertising strategy for the products you sell, building a brand image, creating a sustainable relationship with customers, and handling logistics management.

The course’s website claims that the course is worth $5,998 but you have to pay only $997. Ricky offers adds the extra discount and makes it available at $497 but when I purchased, it cost me $997.

  1. Here’s how the value of the course looks like:
  2. Over 15 hours of step-by-step online training – $2,997
  3. Copy & Paste Templates – $997
  4. Lifetime access to updates & requests – $997
  5. Lifetime private mastermind group – $997

Since it is a short course, I feel the price is too much. If you purchase from one of the affiliate websites, you will get the course at $497. Apart from the six weekly modules, you get a series of bonuses, which are nothing extraordinary.

Make sure you read the entire review to make an informed decision if eCom Lifestyle University by Ricky Hayes is right for you or not!

Who is eCom Lifestyle University for?

If you want to live your life on your own terms, eCom Lifestyle University is the right course for you. It will guide through the start of your dropshipping career and make the difficulties easy for you.

Who is Ricky Hayes, The Founder of eCom Lifestyle University?

Ricky Hayes is a small YouTuber with a following of just 7,000 subscribers, which is nothing to boast about but he does. According to his YouTube profile, Facebook marketers ask for his advice when it comes to boosting reach and getting more conversions. Doesn’t he sound too confident? On his channel, he uploaded a mix of dropshipping-related content including Facebook marketing, product research, SEO strategies, Shopify optimization, and brand building techniques.

He uploads two to three times in a week, which each video garnering 1,000 to 3,000 videos, which isn’t bad for starters. I have to be honest, his YouTube videos are actually good. I tested a few techniques that he explained and they worked. Some of his students that commented on the videos were pretty happy with the course but those can be paid comments as well.

What is Included in eCom Lifestyle University?

When you purchase the course, you don’t get access to all six modules at once but they are unlocked every week. Apart from that, you also unlock a number of bonuses.

Week 1: Welcome & Mindset

According to Hayes, Module 1 is the most priceless section of the entire course. Hayes clears the common social myths people have about dropshipping and motivates you to explore your strengths to reach your true capabilities. If you don’t have the right mindset, you won’t achieve your goals.

While what he says is true and I agree that you should believe in yourself, it was unnecessary to include this module and waste a week’s time. A person is already motivated to try something new and that’s why they signed up for the course. There’s no more encouragement needed here.

Week 2: Building Your Store A to Z

In Week 2, you will learn to set up a successful eCommerce store on Shopify. Hayes mentioned that you don’t need technical experience for the process and then goes on to explain every step in detail. He is good at explanation because the words he used were simple. He supports every step with multiple examples.

Other topics covered under this module include how to write a compelling product description and crush competitors selling similar products. These A to Z videos are somewhat like what other courses offer and pretty basic.

Week 3: Product Research Academy A to Z

Moving onto Week 3, Product Research Academy A to Z will help you to find golden products in your niche market, undercover ways to prompt Facebook to show you the hottest selling products, and how to spy on competitors to see their best-selling products.

Another pretty basic module, I don’t understand why he merged two major topics together. There should have been more information on research techniques and the best-selling niches.

Week 4: Building Your Brand

Having a strong brand name makes a lot of difference. Website visitors tend to treat you easily when you have a good brand image. In this module, you will learn different methods to boost your brand’s credibility and how to ensure that you earn money throughout the year.

Ricky claims to tell you 99.8 percent tips and tricks that beginners don’t know but again, they were pretty average. All strategies are basic and something you will easily find on YouTube.

Week 5: Facebook Ads Academy

In Facebook Ads Academy module, you will learn how to go from zero to five figures in just 24 hours. You will learn a series of strategies on topics including laser target customers, scaling your Shopify business, and basic Facebook advertisement.

There are a few videos on audience research, retargeting, Facebook Pixel, and testing products. To be honest, I expected this section to be the biggest of all because it is such a big topic.

Week 6: Team Management

Team Management is all about outsourcing different profiles to scale your business or start a new Shopify store. It is a small section, which only touches the topic and doesn’t go too deep.

Hayes teaches you how to find the best freelancers on Upwork, how to coordinate them on Slack and create tasks on Trello. Each video lasts for seven to 12 minutes each and are quite informative.

Week 7 (Bonus): Google Marketing

I am truly impressed by Module 7, which is based on Google Marketing. There are 13 lessons in total and most of the videos are around 20 minutes long. Hayes covers a number of topics under this section including Google Analytics, setting up and optimizing Google Ads, how to use Google Merchant Centre, Google Brand Search Campaign, Google conversion tracking, Google Dynamic Remarketing Code, Google Merchant Centre configuration update, how to set up an effective campaign, Item ID Drilling, and Location Targeting.

All topics are highly technical but Hayes has described every topic in detail. Module 7 was the only module out of all the modules that provide unique information.

Week 8 (Bonus): ManyChat Marketing

Week 8 is only two videos long but full of information. The first video is on how to use three automation tools — Manychat, Zapier, and Klaviyo. In the second video, Hayes goes in detail about ManyChat automation and optimization.

I haven’t heard about Manychat earlier and there’s not enough information about it available online. I think, it is a brand endorsement deal, so I am not sure how good the software might be.

Personal Experience With eCom Lifestyle University

I have mixed reaction about eCom Lifestyle University. I don’t know why it is titled University because you don’t get a degree or certificate on completion of the course. It has only 55 videos with half of them being over 10 minutes long. I liked how Hayes didn’t divide the topics into smaller videos and kept it real.

Most of the content is pretty generic and lacks depth but Week 7 will change your mind. It focuses on Google Marketing and teaches you everything you need to know from basic to advanced topics. But that doesn’t justify the cost of this course because there are a lot of things missing from it.

While there’s good information on Facebook and Google marketing strategies, but you won’t find the slightest mention of Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and Twitter. There are becoming a favourite among dropshippers because they reach a large audience immediately.

Also, I feel the content is unorganized. Instead of having one big Week 7 with intense videos, there should have been two to three bonuses divided according to the main topics. The modules are available to you on a weekly basis, so you can’t finish the course early and start setting up the business.

A few videos are missing from the course but they will be updated over time. Whenever anything new is uploaded, previous users will get access to it. I liked how Hayes wants everyone to have equal benefits, so there’s no injustice.

eCom Lifestyle University Work Scam?

Nope, eCom Lifestyle University is not a scam however, there are definitely better courses out there you can get like eCom Elites.

Is there a Discount Code?

There is no discount/coupon for Ricky Hayes’s eCom Lifestyle University course.

There are other sites claiming they either have eCom Lifestyle University Coupon or eCom Lifestyle University Discount but, this is definitely not true. Also, eCom Lifestyle University Nulled or eCom Lifestyle University Free is not a thing.

Ecom Lifestyle University Final Verdict

eCom Lifestyle University costs $497 on discount and $997 otherwise. It is too expensive and I recommend you not purchase it at all. You can find half of the information for free on YouTube and buy an affordable course costing no more than $200 to cover the rest of the content. These courses offer over 175 videos and a strong Facebook group support, where you can discuss your dropshipping business and take feedback from other dropshippers.

eCom Lifestyle University Alternative

Now I have personally bought a ton of dropshipping courses out there. I even review a lot of them on my blog. Generally, these gurus try to sell you a lifestyle of getting rich and successful that’s why they charge a ridiculous amount for the information they sell.

Their courses typically aren’t even comprehensive at all. They focus all their efforts trying to market their course so, they can make more money from course sales.

I do however think that dropshipping courses are worth it if they are good. They will save you a ton of time and hassle that’s why I highly recommend a solid dropshipping course.

I have been dropshipping for a long time and I have built profitable stores (I currently do affiliate marketing though) and I highly recommend you check out this course called eCom Elites. (I did a review on this, make sure you read it!)

It’s by Franklin Hatchett who has been doing dropshipping WAY before it was famous.

This course definitely has helped me increase my eCommerce income before. However, I don’t do dropshipping anymore because I am focused on affiliate marketing.

Now, this is not another expensive garbage guru course. It’s one of the best & most affordable dropshipping / eCommerce course out there.
