Since this is important in order to make a profit, companies need to be aware of the website traffic that they are seeing. The more traffic that they get, the higher the potential is for making money. The need to have a good amount of website traffic is important for:

  1. Increases Exposure – The more website traffic that a company receives, the more exposure they will have. It is extremely important to have this so that they can do well as a company.

What Is SEO?

SEO is Search Engine Optimization. This a process of using a variety of keywords that can bring a company’s website up in the search engines in a good position. The better the SEO, the higher the chances of getting first and second slots when a person is searching for certain items or services online. The trick with SEO is to make sure that it is placed strategically in the website copy so that it will pull higher in the search engines. Part of good SEO is knowing the competition and being able to outshine them and get the traffic to their website so that the consumer is likely to buy from them first.

People that are not sure that they are getting the proper amount of SEO within their website should use a professional to help them to do so. These professionals are excellent at what they do, and they know a lot about SEO and how to get the online presence that a company needs in order to do well. What Is On-Page and Off-Page SEO?

In the world of online business, there is always a need for SEO. The SEO that a company has can make a huge difference in how they are able to obtain and keep the business that they need to survive. Online is the way that businesses need to in this day and age. There are two types of SEO. They are on-page and off-page. Here are some details on both of them:

  1. On-Page SEO – On-page SEO is the way that a company is in control of what they have on their website. They will need to consider such effects as the placement of keywords, etc. They want to drive a lot of traffic to their website, and good SEO placement will work wonders for improving the ability for people to find them online easily. A company will want to make sure that its tags, titles, overall structure, and content are all optimized with the right targeted keywords.
  2. Off-Page SEO – With off-page SEO, the rankings for the page happen off of the company’s website. These might include getting traffic from the backlinks from other sites. There are also promotional efforts and methods that are taken into account. This can be something like how much exposure the website is getting on social media outlets. This really helps to keep a company in better standing as they are proceeding to attract more and more customers online.

The Difference Between SEO and SEM

The online world is fascinating, and it is a proven way for companies to access a higher number of customers all of the time. They want to have the best online presence that they can at all times so that they can stand out from their competitors. It is important that potential customers have the opportunity to find out about what they are offering the public. Here is the difference between SEO and SEM, which are needed in order for a company to have the best online strategies as possible:

  1. SEO – SEO is included in Search Marketing and Search Engine Marketing. It is all about the optimization of the website in order to get higher rankings when people are searching for the products and services that they are in need of. Having great keyword placement throughout the content of a website is of the utmost importance when it comes to getting the higher rankings that a company desire. The traffic coming from SEO is free.
  2. SEM – SEM is referring to Search Engine Marketing. It is a way of incorporating both SEO and a paid search. The PPC, pay-per-click, or CPC, cost-per-click, are included in SEM. This will help a company to develop a more targeted and effective advertising campaign so that they are able to get as much business as they can at any given time. The traffic that is coming from the SEM is paid.

Companies that do well with their online strategies will improve in the future. The more that they concentrate on getting the best online presence that they can, the better they will do. Online sales and marketing are the keys to staying profitable in the world today. Companies that utilize the best online strategies will tend to do better than the ones that do not use them effectively.

Implementing SEO To Generate Website Traffic

It’s no secret that SEO is an integral part of every small business marketing strategy, and it holds a special place in marketers’ arsenal, seeking to succeed online.

However, knowing SEO and implementing it, so it has a positive impact on your business are two different things.

When it comes to creating an effective SEO strategy, you really need to break it down into six different steps. This is because, well, some things are definitely more important than others. There’s no one single aspect when it comes to SEO that automatically unlocks that first page or number one ranking position. Rather, it’s the strategic combination of the series of steps that really gets you there.

With that being said, let’s dive into the 1st step.

1. Keyword Research

It’s really crucial that you start diving into the keywords that you want your website to rank for from the very beginning. It’s really important to do some really detailed research here because if you try to rank for all sorts of different words that nobody’s using and nobody is searching for, well, you’re SEO efforts are going to be totally useless. The flipside of that, of course, is if you try to rank for the most competitive keywords possible, well, the odds of your ranking for the right off the bat are also slim to none.

So, you’ve got to find a balance of keywords that you can actually rank for as well as ones that people are actually searching for. This is why one of the first places that I go when I’m looking for brand new keywords is KWFinder or Ahrefs keyword suggestion tool.

All right. So, let’s use a fictitious example here and say that we’ve got a coffee shop in Los Angeles that we want to start ranking higher for. Well, the first thing you need to do is head over to the keyword suggestions tool and start finding out what kind of keywords you should be trying to rank for.

In this case, what you want to do is probably type in something like coffee shops and see what happens when you hit the search. Once data loads, you’ll get just a ton of different data that you can use to start researching into and seeing which one is going to be most beneficial to you with my L.A. coffee shop.

Some of the keywords are going to be relevant, such as coffee shops near me and coffee shops, while it understandable that others are going to be completely irrelevant. Like starting a coffee shop and start a coffee shop, which would be great if you were planning on teaching people how to start one, but because you are trying to generate more traffic for your coffee shop, they are not really going to pan out.

2. On-Site Optimization

Also, if your business happens to be local, well, you want to make sure that you’re registering for a Google Maps location, which is going to give you even more opportunities to rank on that first page. From there, it’s kind of techie stuff like robots.txt file, XML Sitemap, and SSL certificate if you want to make sure your site is secure.

Once that’s done, it’s a combination of improving and fixing any broken links, improving page load speed, so it loads faster when someone visits you and a few more other advanced strategies to make sure your website’s running in tip-top shape. This is why I’m such a big fan of running frequent website audits as it helps me evaluates all key parameters of website health, including meta tags, headings, image optimization, link analysis, usability, and so on.

3. Responsive Design

One another crucial on-page SEO component is to have a mobile responsive website. You see, ever since 2015, when Google really came out and said that mobile-friendly and mobile-optimized websites are getting priority. Well, it’s become even more important to make sure that your website is mobile optimized.

This means that the user experience is designed or at least accommodates a mobile device as well, or preferably better than it would on a desktop, especially as more and more people are consuming content from their mobile devices. All right. So, once that part’s done, it’s time to move on to step four.

4. Content Strategy

Content marketing and content creation are the most important facets of any business, regardless of the industry. Whether you’re conducting training or advertising, creating useful, interesting content is the most effective way to build up your audience in a competitive way. By getting in the habit of making simple, useful, and catchy content and using it appropriately, you can really boost the success and visibility of your business.

And without a steady flow of quality content, your business will be less appealing, and if it wasn’t working, it certainly would languish behind the scene.

By publishing quality content that’s also engaging not only helps you build trust with your customers, but it also helps drive up conversions and, in turn, sales. However, there are many other factors involved too. To be successful, content marketing requires coordination among on-page SEO, creativity, and a proper understanding of your audience.

The most effective content marketers don’t rush through the creation of a content plan and don’t release it until everything else is in order. Remember that your objective is to use the content to communicate what matters to your business to the outside world.

Once you’ve decided on what kind of content you’re going to want to build on your website, you really want to focus on ensuring that it’s formatted correctly with proper titles, proper headings, and proper keywords sprinkled throughout the body. Copy as a bit of a bonus tip. If you can add a blog to your website, that’s even better because it’ll give you an excuse to continually update new and fresh and relevant content, ensuring that you’re always providing new information to the search engines.

And that leads us nicely to step five off-site optimizations.

5. Off-Site Optimizations

You see now that you’ve got your website in tip-top shape, it’s time to move off-site and ensure that the links coming into your website are providing the right and relevant quality and quantity that you need to boost your rankings. You see a key factor when it comes to improving your search engine rankings. As you’ve probably already heard, it is not only the quantity but more importantly, now the quality of the links being directed to your website.

This is easily one of the most important factors because of what it is. Its external validation that your website is worthy and relevant and valuable and deserves one of those coveted top positions.

Most often, to automate this process, you will need access to any one of the premium tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc. and don’t worry they all offer a free or paid trial with full access to all their features.

These SEO tools won’t just generate your report showing you all of the links that your website has, including the domain trust, which means basically how valuable that link is as well as where that link came from. This helps you to better evaluate the quality of your website and will also help you take better actions to further improve its visibility.

6. Social Media Strategy

6th when it comes to developing a solid SEO strategy, is to supplement it with a sufficient social media strategy as well.

The key with an effective social media content strategy is to make sure that your content is relevant and valuable and share-worthy because, at the end of the day, it’s the engagement metrics and the traffic that gets driven back to your site.

How You Can Generate Free Website Traffic from Social Media Channels

Social media marketing is one of the best ways to generate targeted website traffic to your business. But doing it right requires you to break down your goals and focus on rewarding website visitors—credibility bait you can lure. Social traffic tends to spread around the corners as it arises, so trying to truly connect your campaign with your audience really matters.

If through your continuous efforts, you succeed in building a real and engaging audience, you’ll not only have more traffic to your site, but it will also have more interested individuals who will likely become loyal customers. Building and maintaining an audience takes work but makes the foundation of your online endeavor absolutely strong.

Building and maintaining a social media audience takes work but makes the foundation of your online endeavor absolutely strong. Whether you’re generating leads, seeking new leads, creating content to attract new customers, or pursuing paid advertising to generate more revenue, you need to invest in social media must be a major focus in your overall marketing strategy if you wish to succeed. Even a relatively small investment can equal recoup all the expenses required to launch your business on a shoestring budget.

Pinterest and YouTube

Pinterest and YouTube are both popular social media platforms, which is why they can be an excellent way to bring traffic to your site. If you want to get more mileage out one or both of these sites, you should keep these tips in mind:

Make Sure You Have a Pinterest Business Account

A Pinterest business account is free, and it can be a fantastic way to drive more traffic to your site. Once you sign up for a business account, you’ll have access to analytics. You’ll be able to see which pins are performing well and use that information to develop a solid strategy.

Beyond that, a business account allows you to apply for “Rich Pins.” These pins contain more information than a standard pin does. They’re particularly helpful to bloggers or site owners that are trying to promote a product or an app.

Transcribe Your YouTube Videos

When you upload a new YouTube video, you should take the time to transcribe the video from start to finish. You should upload the transcription to YouTube, and you should also paste the full transcription into your video’s description field.

Search engines aren’t capable of hearing keywords in audio yet. If you upload a transcription, search engines will be able to crawl the words in your video. This means that your videos are more likely to appear in search results, which means more people will watch your videos and click on the links that you share.

Write Detailed Descriptions

Whether you’re creating content for Pinterest or YouTube, a strong description is key. You should do keywords research ahead of time so that you can use the right kinds of keywords in your description. Descriptions can also improve engagement.

Ideally, your description should contain helpful information that will be useful to the people that are viewing your pins or watching your videos. It should be brief, but it should also be compelling. You should choose descriptive words that will catch people’s attention. Since your goal is to encourage people to click on your links, you’ll want to leave them wanting more.

Reply to Other YouTube Videos

If you’re working to strengthen your current YouTube strategy, it’s a good idea to take a look at what other content creators in your niche are doing. If you notice a popular video that has a lot of views, you may want to create a response video.

YouTube allows users to create video replies to other videos on their platform. This is a great way to bring attention to your channel. If you reply to a popular video, millions of people could see your response. There’s a good chance that many of those people will go on to watch your videos and even subscribe to your channel.

Boosting your views will make it much easier for you to generate traffic from your YouTube content. When you have more viewers, you’ll get more mileage out of all of the content that you create.

Get Your Timing Right

As mentioned above, a Pinterest business account will give you access to analytics. You’ll also be able to see video analytics on your YouTube channel. Use these analytics to find the best times to post new content.

If you’re trying to track when people are most likely to click on your links, you may want to create unique links for your YouTube and Pinterest content. If you do this, you’ll be able to use Google Analytics to find the best times to share your content.

Get Involved in The Comments Section

Engagement is a key component of any social media strategy. When people are highly engaged with your content, they’ll be more likely to click on any links that you might share.

You can improve engagement by letting your YouTube audience know that you’re listening to them. If someone leaves a comment on one of your videos, make sure you leave a reply. Once your audience sees that you respond to comments, they’ll be encouraged to leave more comments, and they’ll be more likely to click on links as well.

Create Beautiful Images

Pinterest is an image-centric platform, which is why choosing the right images for the content you share. The aspect ratio for a Pinterest pin is either 2:3 or 4:5. Keep this in mind when you’re selecting an image. You may want to test out different images so that you can find a picture that looks great when it’s pinned.

Adding text to your image can ensure that your pins stand out. Since Google shows Pinterest pins in its image search results, it’s also a great way to give your site’s organic traffic a boost.

Great images are important on YouTube as well. While YouTube will automatically generate a thumbnail for you, you’ll attract more interest if you upload a custom thumbnail for your videos. If you need inspiration, look at the thumbnails for other popular videos in your niche.

Use Tools That Will Help You Boost Your Traction

If your Pinterest or YouTube content isn’t getting much attention, you may want to take advantage of tools and resources that will allow you to build your presence and increase your reach. For example, Social Snap, a social sharing plugin, can expose your content to a wider audience.

There is a wide array of social media tools available, and many of these tools can improve your traffic and reach. From free tools to paid tools, you should take the time to find tools that will give you the boost you’re looking for.

Have A Strategy

More than anything else, you need to develop and hone a social media strategy. You won’t be able to generate much traffic from either Pinterest or YouTube if you play things by ear. You should develop a strategy that will help you to work towards your goals.

Once you’ve developed a strategy, you’ll want to adjust that strategy over time. Pay close attention to your analytics and other data sources. Make sure the strategy or strategies you’re using are paying off for you.

Paid Website Traffic

Hands down, one of the most important aspects of a successful online endeavor is website traffic; unfortunately, often, it’s not easy to get despite all your efforts. So, the question is, how can you generate niche targeted website traffic without having to deal with any type of technical jargons or having to spend hours on social media interacting with your audience individually.

The answer is paid traffic, which, by far, is the best way to instantly generate a massive audience with a keen interest in your niche. And to help you properly understand how you can generate paid traffic to your site, in the following sections, I’ll be discussing three important methods that I personally use to build credibility and leads without worrying about the next Google algorithmic update.

Why Is Organic Traffic Inconsistent?

Firstly, Google makes major changes to its algorithms regularly. When Google makes these changes, a lot of websites are affected. If your website was ranking for several keywords, you might lose your rankings due to an algorithm change. And it is time-consuming to keep up with all the algorithm changes.

Secondly, negative SEO can affect your website’s ranking. It is hard to control who links to your website. Therefore, your competitors can build poor quality links to your website. Google will see you use blackhat SEO to rank your website. Google might penalize your website immediately. You will lose your organic traffic if this happens.

Thirdly, it is expensive and hard to keep with competitors with huge marketing budgets. They target the best keywords. That means new competitors can outrank you by hiring the best content creators to create better content than yours. If you cannot beat your competitors, your organic traffic will decrease.

Finally, you need to keep updating your old content if you want to maintain your ranking. As a small business owner, you might never have enough time and money to update old content and create new content. You will always work on your website, which can become your full-time job.

As you can see, it is difficult to make money consistently with organic traffic from Google. The good thing is that there are other free traffic sources that can bring consistent traffic to your website. You can rely on them, especially if you want to build a good relationship with your target audience.

1. Facebook Ads

If you have the necessary budget to spend on your website, the Facebook advertisement can work really well for you. In fact, there are marketers who are utilizing this platform massive audience space to generate millions in revenue annually.

Now, in order to harness the true potential of this platform, all you have to do is create a Facebook account, but this account should be associated with a business name. That is, you need to create a business page and fill in all the details, including your website address.

Once that’s done, you can now manually post, or if you use WordPress, you can use many of its social sharing plugins to automate Facebook posting. Each of your Facebook posts will include a title, link to the original post, a better description (mainly excerpts), and finally, the most important expect of driving engagement – attractive featured image.

Once that’s done, you will have the option to boost that post in front of your targeted audience. To do so, all you have to do is click on the little boost button, which essentially is a simplified version of Facebook ads, which unfortunately is quite comprehensive, complicated and thus has a learning curve which most marketers will find to technical or monotonous.

Facebook for every boosted post requires you to select all populate three important sections. Facebook’s first requirement from you is audience selection. Not only can you make your boosted Facebook post visible to the specific geographic audience, but you can further drill down to a specific interest, age group, and even engagement level. This truly is a powerful feature that makes Facebook ads so lucrative to interested businesses and advertisers.

After that, you will have to set up the budget and then finally for how long you want to run your ads on the Facebook advertisement platform. Now, Facebook to have manual moderation in order to ensure that only quality content reaches its audience, and thus, you will want to ensure that your featured image is not too spammy and that your post truly delivers a quality, engaging content to the audience.

As for the budget, personally, I usually choose to invest $5 for five days or $10 for ten days. This essentially means that I’ll be investing one dollar every day for five continuous space and so on. With this simple, effective, and most importantly budget-friendly setup, I’m able to drive through dozens of clicks to my affiliate links and usually enjoy 10 to 15.

Bonus Tip: Facebook Groups

Now, I would like to clarify that this specific method is absolutely free and that anyone with a Facebook account can utilize this method to generate targeted traffic to their sales pages; money articles are landing pages.

The key to this method is delivering quality answers to individuals asking the question on various Facebook groups, which are closely related to your niche.

For example, let’s say your niche is a fashion and, more specifically, clothing. So, you will want to join a few open Facebook groups (and even try to join closed groups) and start answering questions without initially posting your website link or affiliate link. If you start to spam the forum with links from the moment you create your account, it’s likely that your account is going to be blocked or completely banned.

But you can obviously post links once you have established yourself as someone who truly delivers quality information and is contributing to the community. Once you have done that, and once administrators get to know you, they will keep your links alive, thus letting you generate massive targeted traffic to your affiliate links or website links.

YouTube Ads

Should you be using YouTube advertising to grow your business? The answer is yes. A lot of business owners are focusing on Facebook and Instagram, and those are great platforms, but YouTube is one of the most overlooked opportunities for business owners right now. But a stat showed us that less than 10% of U.S. small businesses are actually using YouTube to grow their business.

Regardless of what business, market, or industry you’re in, YouTube ads are easily one of the most cost-effective and potentially profitable forms of advertising available to you today as a business owner, entrepreneur, or digital marketer.

Sure, YouTube advertising does have some associated challenges and some barriers to entry. Mostly the video part, but that’s a good thing because it keeps other people out, and it keeps it a little less competitive, meaning costs stay low, and the potential return on investment stays nice and high.

Now, like all ad platforms, there are some good things and some bad things associated with YouTube advertising. The good things being a lot of the reach and the targeting options and the freedom and the control and the potential profitability, the bad things being all of those barriers to entry, including the fact that it’s run on the Google ads interface, which a little harder to use than, say, Facebook or Instagram ads, as well as the fact that to run YouTube ads you kind of need a video.

But one of the biggest reasons that I want to push you in the direction of at least taking a look at YouTube advertising is simply because one is the most dangerous number in the business, whether this is having one product or service, one kind of offer, one kind of business model or one kind of traffic channel or advertising platform, whether it means that all of your advertising is taking place on Facebook or Instagram or wherever else. It does make sense to eventually diversify that traffic, especially if it’s on Facebook, Instagram, because they’re going through a massive call right now and closing all kinds of different ad accounts, denying different as disabling different ones for all kinds of different perceived infractions.

But enough, fear-mongering. Let’s get into the good stuff, starting with one of the biggest reasons that YouTube ads are such a powerhouse, and that is that they are built on the power of Google.

1. Google

You see, Google owns YouTube. And this is amazing because Google is an incredibly powerful search engine, as we all know. And a lot of the algorithms, a lot of the data, a lot of the way that it’s designed and it’s operating well, that trickles down into YouTube, meaning that you can get a one-two punch by understanding and leveraging SEO or search engine optimization tactics and applying those to all of your YouTube videos.

Also, more importantly, in the context of YouTube advertising is the fact that YouTube ads are run through the Google ads platform. So this is very similar to Facebook ads and Instagram ads because Facebook owns Instagram. Anytime you want to run an Instagram ad, you do it through the Facebook ads manager. Pretty much the same thing applies over here on Google and with YouTube. Anytime you want to run a YouTube ad, you do it through the Google ads manager sounds a bit confusing, but it’s actually incredibly good because of the Google ads manager and the Google ads dashboard and the ability to do keyword targeting and create all kinds of different audiences and set up pixels and versions and all of the nerdy high-level stuff.

2. It’s Robust

It’s robust, it’s detailed, and it provides you an incredible amount of control.

There’s also the added benefit of spending the time and investing the resources and energy into learning the Google ads platform, because whether you just want to do this in order to run YouTube ads and get better results there, or whether you want to add another tool to your tool kit and essentially learn Google ads, which is going to come in handy later because they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.

This leads us to the third step, which is all about messaging with a YouTube ad.

3. Setting Up Ads

Probably no surprise here, but you have a very limited time span. Normally about five seconds to hook your audience, grab their attention, and to make sure that they don’t click that scary little skip button.

This is why the beginning of your YouTube ad should call out your ideal target market directly.

  1. Get right to your audience: Let them know that this is for them and let them know if it’s not for them.
  2. Make sure you’re direct: Make sure that you’re saying something relevant. Make sure you’re saying something intriguing. Craft out that ad, hook them in so they’ll watch the ad, and then take action.
  3. Figure out your budget: Now, different businesses and different companies in different markets and industries are going to want to set different budgets, and they’re going to have different objectives for their YouTube advertising. It could be something like acquiring an email address in exchange for a lead magnet, could be getting somebody to watch a webinar, could be getting someone to walk into a store for a brick and mortar location, whatever it is. You want to be very clear about what objective you’re trying to achieve and then making sure that you’ve got a sufficient budget for that.
