Have you found yourself wanting to start a new business but lacking any ideas on where to start? I was there too.

You see, I also got tired from working regular office hours under bosses I didn’t like, so I started thinking about working by myself. I knew that was what I wanted, but I didn’t know how to start.

If you’re in that same position, then my experience might help you out a lot.

You’re reading this, so we already know your ideas revolve around online business. Brick and mortar stores are still a good investment, but the costs of starting one are way more than double what you need to start an online venture; most people don’t have the necessary funds for that, but they do for an online store.

An online business is a great way to get significant profits without a significand investment. With that in mind, let’s go into 5 great businesses you can start right away,

Dropshipping

Dropshipping is selling products outside of your inventory. You don’t even need to invest in assets since you’ll sell the products from a supplier, and they’ll handle all the shipping and manufacturing.

The most famous platform is Shopify, and there’s a free 2-week trial.

You can choose a niche and few products like smartphone cases. You can also go for a general store or choose a large niche like sportswear. You don’t even need to know everything about your offers; there’s enough training for you to know what products sell efficiently.

Most of your investment will go into advertising, spending a few dollars per product and then focusing on the most profitable.

The profits you can make depend on your dedication. Many bomb, others make some decent thousands per month, and others get six figures in the same time.

The best course available is eCom Elites; you’ll get plenty of content for less than most courses out there.

Affiliate marketing

This is one of the best ways I’ve found for making money online. This business model has existed for decades, and the internet took it to the next level.

You’ll be promoting products from someone else with affiliate links. Each time someone buys a product thanks to you, you’ll earn a commission from that sale. You can advertise your links through a blog, ads, YouTube, and much more. Virtually everyone with regular online presence has bought something through an affiliate link at least once.

It’s somewhat similar to dropshipping in that you sell products from someone else. However, you don’t have to order any products and just promote the links. You just have to wait for people to click your links, and you can make money from specific sellers or through platforms like Amazon Associates.

You can make a few hundreds or even thousands every month. If you’re looking for a course, then Savage Affiliates is your best bet, similar to eCom Elites.

The best way to start affiliate marketing that I recommend is by blogging. You can check out my guide on how to start a blog here. You can also use youtube to make money with affiliate marketing and I have a guide which shows you how to make money on youtube without showing your face here.

SEO Agency

If you have a way with sales and words, then starting an SEO agency can be your online business choice. There are many SEO courses available online, but if you know how to run it locally already, then can start looking for clients; this is the toughest stage of this option.

You want to create a website. You’ll use it as both your branding and sample for all potential clients.

The first step is to apply your knowledge and get it to rank significantly high to prove your results. The fastest way is to find easy terms and then show that to your prospects. Most will have little knowledge on rankings, and seeing your website among the top search results will be a great catch for them.

If you don’t know anything about SEO, then you can take courses for SEO, and there are many free resources online and  on YouTube that you can access with just a quick search.

Fulfillment by Amazon

Amazon’s FBA is somewhat like dropshipping, but you do have to buy the products. You can then sell them on Amazon. Amazon then takes care to pick up and ship your sales to the customers, and they’ll cover customer services as well.

It’s like a reverse dropshipping store.

The advantage here is that you get to take advantage of the huge traffic run by Amazon, and you skip a huge portion of the marketing side of business.

The problem is that you need to invest noticeably more. This is a great option if you have enough capital to start and want to save time building a website and brand from scratch.

If you have the money, then this is a faster method, and Amazon helps you start making sales quickly, and you may have a stable income within just a few months.

Conclusion

Those are the 4 best options for you to start an online venture –and the ones that have worked for me or people that I know who have done it. Just make sure that your business matches your capabilities and experience; choosing wrong can seriously hamper your time, and you could end up loosing money.

Make sure to note the tip that stands out in all recommendations: you need to train and understand your business model and what you have to do to succeed in it.

The first investment must always be you. Build your knowledge and experience; start small, and you’ll see how your venture will start growing alongside you.

There are excellent courses for an affordable price, and there are countless resources you can access for free just by typing your search into Google or YouTube. Make sure to exploit that and turn yourself into an expert; the money will follow you instantly.
