Both of these software are made to be used by entrepreneurs and businesses that want to start a website to run their business online and continue doing their marketing online as well. They are both known platforms that are used by many people.
If you were to look into reviews about each platform, you will find mixed reviews as there are many reasons people will use these platforms, but they may not have been made for those reasons.
I will be going through each of the platforms, about their features, what they can help you with, the pricing, and so on. If you are here for an honest review about each platform and need help deciding which one should be for you, then continue reading until the end. I will have my recommendation there as well.
GrooveFunnels was initially launched as a standalone tool in late 2019 – GroovePages. This is the landing page creator tool and is used to help design and structure websites and pages. The team, GrooveDigital, didn’t expect the tool to perform as well as it did. It raised in popularity quite fast and it was then that the team decided to put the whole GrooveFunnels software together and create new tools that will work together.
The creator of this tool is called Mike Filsaime who is the previous co-founder of another software tool that is similar to this, called Kartra. His team and he have worked on both tools, so Kartra’s popularity a sign showing that their software is of good quality.
GrooveFunnels is now a comprehensive digital marketing software with all the tools you would need to run a business online while also doing all your marketing strategies from the same software rather than having to switch between multiple software to get things done.
GrooveFunnels claims that they have brought together over 10+ different tools into the same system and so using their system would save you so much more time and money than if you were to use all of those tools individually to do the same tasks.
Just like GroovePages, LeadPages is made to be a website and page creation software. But, that is where the similarities stop with GrooveFunnels. They are not involved with the rest of your marketing efforts. Their function is to help you create and set up a website or landing page where you can use features like pop-ups and alerts to help drive the message you want.
LeadPages utilizes a drag and drop method for their website builder. This is where they give you a list of website options that you can then drag from the settings and drop on your blank website template to place there and improve upon. This method is also used by GrooveFunnels. This method is used because it is a simple method to master and even newbies will be able to pick it up and learn how to use it quickly. You don’t need to know any technical knowledge or HTML coding to build a website like you needed to know a few years back.
If you don’t want to build your own site from the beginning, they even have pre-made templates that you can choose from, and then edit to make it fit your brand and business. These are templates that have been proven to convert, so you will be saving a lot of time not having to figure it out yourself. All of this is included to help you convert your visitors into sales.
As I mentioned, GrooveFunnels wants to create an arsenal of tools that you can use to run your business online. As such they have a lot of tools available for their premium accounts such as:
GrooveSell – Create your sales funnel
GrooveAffiliate – Create an affiliate marketing program
GrooveVideo – Host and manage your videos
GrooveMember – Create a subscription-based website
GrooveDesk – Create a helpdesk area on your website
These are just some of the tools that you can use and there are more of them available for multiple uses. Apart from these tools, they also offer support and services on the backend such as meetups between entrepreneurs, conventions, ad agencies who will create and manage your ads, and so on.
If you are a developer or coder, they even have something called a Software developers kit, which is an open-source system that you can use to develop your own apps. As of writing at this point, this is all that GrooveFunnels is offering at the moment. However, the software is still in Beta which means they are still in testing mode. Also, they have a few other tools that they have announced but are yet to come out. Over time, they will create more tools and offer more services.
Here there won’t be a ton of “additional features” as you would find with GrooveFunnels because this is standalone software with one basic principle – build pages. Therefore, I will be talking about the features you will find inside of this page creator tool:
- Over 200 custom built templates for you to use
- A/B test your pages to know which one converts the best
- Integrate with a lot of other software
- Create custom-built landing pages for each of your campaigns
- Widgets you can use for additional functionality
- Add countdown timers to show urgency
They also have a few more advanced options for those who are familiar with it:
- Leadboxes – Live ThriveLeads, you can create your own pop-up notification forms
- Leaddigits – Your website visitors can opt-in through their phone or through texts
- Leadlinks – This is an option to enable one-tap sign in
Basically, you will be able to find a bunch of features that will help you to design your website better and create offers that look irresistible to the website’s visitors.
When you go onto the site now, there are a few options available for you to choose from. These packages unlock a different set of tools that you can use:
- Silver Package – $99 per month – You will get the full GroovePages Pro (with all the award-winning templates), GrooveMember (turn your website into a subscription site), GrooveMail (run your email marketing campaigns), and GrooveVideo (host and manage all your videos).
- Gold Package – $199 per month – Get all the above including GrooveBlog (a tool for managing your blog content), GrooveCalendar (manage your events, meetings, and other activities with this scheduling tool), GrooveDesk (add a helpdesk feature to your website), GrooveSurvey and GrooveQuiz (create quizzes to be used on your website and pages).
- Platinum Package – $299 per month – You will get GrooveWebinar (host all your webinars both automated or live), GroovePages for Shopify (a Shopify plug-in that enables the use of the GroovePages tool inside Shopify).
Just like GrooveFunnels, there are also 3 different pricing options available to you when you want to purchase this software:
- Standard Package – $37 per month
- Pro Package – $79 per month
- Advanced Package – $321/month
Each of these pricing points have its own sets of limitations. For example, you cannot go above 3 websites with the standard package and you lose certain amounts of functionality such as online payments, A/B testing, advanced integrations, and so on.
Also, if you were to go with their annual payment method rather than the monthly one, you will get lower prices and even get a free domain integration. The prices with the annual payment is as follows:
- Standard – $25 per month
- Pro – $48 per month
- Advanced – $199 per month
You will be able to save $144, $372, and $1464 respectively by switching to the annual payment which is quite a bit of money that you can save.
GrooveFunnels is one of those few software that actually offers a ton of value for their free account. In all my time of researching software, I have seldom come across any that offers quite as much, for a free account. Here is what you will get with it:
- A free SSL certificate for your website that will make it trusted
- Custom domain integration into their high-quality Amazon servers for up to 3 websites
- Access to GroovePages Lite – This is their full tool but without access to their custom templates
- Access to GrooveSell – You get full access to this sales funnel creating tool
- Access to GrooveAffiliate – Full access to this affiliate program creation tool
Having looked at that, can you think of any other software that will offer all this to a person who hasn’t even paid a dime? And the best part is that the registration for the account will likely take you less than a minute. They don’t ask you for all of your data, instead, you only need to include the basics like your name and email address and that’s it.
There is no need to submit your credit card details for future payments either. If you want to purchase the software, you have to upgrade and then enter your details to make the payment. With free hosting, SSL, and access to tools that you can run a website with, this is a free account that you will find hard to beat elsewhere.
With LeadPages, they offer a typical 14-day free trial that you will find with almost any software available out there. This will give you enough time to go through and use the system, to know that it is to your liking.
You will need to log onto their website, create an account, choose the plan you would most likely go with, and then enter your card details so that you will lock the payment into the place. Once the 14-day period is over, if you haven’t canceled, the charge will be made on your card and a recurring bill will be set up to go out every month.
The issue with this is that you can easily forget about this payment and forget to cancel your account, leading to a charge being made on your card without you being aware.
I think you can figure out from my tone that I am leaning more towards one of these software – GrooveFunnels. Overall, I think they have a better system in place that will help you to run your business online.
They have a lot of tools and a lot more functionality for you to conduct your marketing strategies than compared to LeadPages. Also, they are more popular even though they are newer than LeadPages, which tells you that the software is more likely better.
On top of that, their free account is a testament to how much value they are aiming to provide. If you are still on the fence, try each of these software out (don’t forget to cancel your LeadPages trial), and then make a decision. Ultimately, it will come down to your preference.
