Shopify Mastery Course is a paid online dropshipping course by Brennan Valeski, which we developed to stop people from making the mistakes he did on entering the eCommerce world. According to its Teachable page, the course teaches you to create your Shopify store and bring home a massive revenue amount. There are five modules in total with some bonus information on niche selection and a question and answer section. It is priced at $197, which we think is a reasonable fee to charge.
When he first started dropshipping, Valeski knew nothing about the eCommerce world. The course not only teaches you about setting up a Shopify store but also marketing techniques that you can use to promote the products you sell. He puts a lot of emphasis on creating a seamless customer experience and considers it the key to tapping more sales.
On the website, Brennan asks you to trust him completely because he is all about financial freedom, success, and becoming a millionaire. In every module, Brennan encourages you to move a step ahead and focuses on the fact that there’s no shortcut to making it big. After you finish the course, the young entrepreneur directs you to his YouTube channel, where he regularly uploads videos related to dropshipping.

Like any other beginner’s dropshipping course, Shopify Mastery Course is targeted at students who want to earn passive income while attending college. Since Brennan doesn’t reveal the number of people enrolled in the course, so I can’t give you a number. However, I am sure that it won’t be more than 1,500.
Who is Brennan Valeski, The Founder of Shopify Mastery Course?
A budding YouTuber by profession, Brennan Valeski became an entrepreneur at a young age of 19. After trying out several businesses and not giving up even once, Valeski launched his first successful dropshipping business. One thing led to another and today, he has a number of businesses related to the stock market, eCommerce, advertising, affiliate marketing, and social media industries.
He uploaded new dropshipping content on YouTube regularly until eight months ago when he suddenly disappeared. I have watched many of his YouTube videos and I can tell you, he isn’t one of those people who drive rented expensive cars. His Instagram account is filled with travel photos but there are no Gucci shoes or Shopify screenshots showing how much he earned in the last 30 days.
What is Included in Shopify Mastery Course?
There are five modules in the course along with some bonuses and access to Brennan’s closed Facebook group. Let’s take a look at what’s included in the modules:
Module 1: Store Setup
After a short introduction video about what’s included in the course, Brennan immediately moves on to the main topic — how to set up a Shopify store. It has 10 videos lasting between four to 23 minutes and explains every process in detail. Some topics like menu formatting, creating a beautiful store, and adding products to your store are explained very well. However, some important topics including finding your niche, market research, and product researched are poorly detailed.
Module 2: Instagram Marketing
In Instagram Marketing, there are 12 short videos about sponsored posts, influencer marketing, growing your follower count, testing products, and content management. Most of the strategies that Brennan teaches you are outdated, which makes us wonder how much you can really benefit from it. The module hasn’t been updated for a long time, so you can’t use the strategies anymore. In the end, he uploads a small video about how to scale your business, which I think is too little information on something so big.
Module 3: Facebook Marketing
The Facebook Marketing module only touches the tip of the huge topic. Brennan starts with explaining how to create a page, which is useless because that’s the simplest thing to do. It is a small module and hasn’t included a lot of information on Facebook advertising. There’s only one topic that Brennan has explained in detail, which is how to set up an attractive ad post but the others are poorly described.
Module 4: Email Marketing
This brings up to Module 4, which is on email marketing. I was shocked to see only four videos that aren’t even 10 minutes long. Email marketing is the most effective way to turn leads into customers and there’s enough content on it. Also, the strategies he mentioned are old school and no one uses them anymore. Topics discussed in this module include how to build an email list, why you need an email list, best email software to use, and creating email promotions and sending them out. It feels rushed because the following module is shorter than this one.
Module 5: Maintaining Your Store
Module 5 isn’t even 10 minutes long and has nothing to do about maintaining your store but how to handle customers. The three topics discussed in it including how to answer customer emails, how to deal with returns, and refund or chargeback systems.

Personal Experience With Shopify Mastery Course
Shopify Mastery Course by Brennan Valeski didn’t impress me at all. He is charging $197 for information that you will find for free on Google and YouTube. It is more like a free e-book or video series than a paid dropshipping course. I watched several of his YouTube videos and he looks like a simple guy but the course is filled with false claims. It isn’t the most in-depth course that I have come across until now.
It is a pretty outdated course because it doesn’t mention Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitter, or LinkedIn at all. Also, email and Instagram marketing aren’t described in detail, which bothers us because Brennan divided them into different modules. At the beginning of the course, Brennan says that he runs many successful businesses but there’s nothing unique in the course that can take you to your success. He doesn’t go about niche research in detail. It is a big topic and the tips and strategies Brennan has mentioned won’t work anymore.
He mentions on the website that you can connect with him on Instagram and his email but since this disappearance from YouTube over eight months ago, I am not sure you will get any response. He has posted on Instagram for over 65 weeks either.
There are a few more essential things missing from the curriculum including Google Adwords and Bing. The search engine exposes your business to a completely new target audience. 33 percent of people in the United States still use Bing on a regular basis. Around 46.8 percent people across the globe used Bing in 2017, so if you don’t put your Shopify store on the search engine, you are limiting your growth.
Other topics lacking from the Brennan Valeski course include outsourcing, automation, and scaling. If you don’t know how to grow your business, you will never earn enough revenue and ultimately give up.
If the course would have been half the price and cost around $250 – $300, I would have told you to go ahead for it. There are many alternatives for Shopify Ninja Masterclass online, which cost up to $250 and provide the same information.
If you don’t have the money to invest in the course, take advantage of the many free videos that Kevin regularly uploads on his YouTube channel. They are equally insightful and you will gain a lot from them. A little research and you find many more similar videos on YouTube and you will definitely benefit from them.

Shopify Mastery Course Final Verdict
Shopify Mastery Course is an affordable course but there’s nothing in it that will help you start your dropshipping business. I recommend you to not to buy this course because it is old and outdated. There are several new and updated courses available in the market that are priced similarly.
Whenever you pick a course, ensure that it covers a number of trending topics including social media marketing strategies, scaling, automation, and outsourcing. Setting up a Shopify store is easy because you can find plenty of information on the internet but you have to pay a price for the strategies. Never invest more than $250 in a paid course, so you have enough money to purchase a premium Shopify theme and plugins.
Shopify Mastery Course Alternative
Now I have personally bought a ton of dropshipping courses out there. I even review a lot of them on my blog. Generally, these gurus try to sell you a lifestyle of getting rich and successful that’s why they charge a ridiculous amount for the information they sell.
Their courses typically aren’t even comprehensive at all. They focus all their efforts trying to market their course so, they can make more money from course sales.
I do however think that dropshipping courses are worth it if they are good. They will save you a ton of time and hassle that’s why I highly recommend a solid dropshipping course.

It’s by Franklin Hatchett who has been doing dropshipping WAY before it was famous.
This course definitely has helped me increase my eCommerce income before. However, I don’t do dropshipping anymore because I am focused on affiliate marketing.
Now, this is not another expensive garbage guru course. It’s one of the best & most affordable dropshipping / eCommerce course out there.
