The most significant addition in this plan is a panic button; it lets you transfer everyone to a brand new room in case something goes wrong during your webinar. The always-on room is also a nice addition.
Lastly, the Enterprise option is for large businesses who need a huge—and I mean huge—webinar room. That’s because your webinars can now house 5,000 attendees. You can also have 6 presenters and 4 hours per event.
Besides all previous features, you now have access to a control center. It’s basically a separate management room where your webinar team can monitor the event without having to interrupt your presentation.
Are the Basic and Professional plans any good?
Many platforms offer subpar versions of their features on their more affordable plans to entice users to upgrade to premium versions. It’s a common tactic you’ll see with most software tools available via subscriptions.
However, WebinarJam doesn’t really stick to this approach. As you’ll see below, even the basic plan has plenty of features to serve most entrepreneurs’ needs. If you’re just starting out, it might even take a while before you feel the need to upgrade to the Professional account.
In fact, the main reason to upgrade your plan is needing more room space for your events. The panic button and always-on room are nice, but they’re not vital for a business. However, I also want to point out that you can’t host paid webinars with the Basic account. You’ll need a Professional account at least. If you’re a Professional user, then you can integrate different payment gateways and charge for your webinars.
You already know what’s the panic button, but I want to touch the always-on room feature real quick. It’s basically a room that’s constantly live, regardless of whether or not your webinar has started. This room is reserved and completely private, and you can brand it with your website.
It’s a commonly-overlooked feature, but it can do wonders if you want to brand your webinars. Your room URL displays your company’s name, and it’s a constant link—it doesn’t change—so it’s like having your own conference room.
WebinarJam against the competition
Of course, there’s no way to spot a good deal unless you compare it with its competition, so that’s what we’re doing right now. I’ll compare WebinarJam to other industry giants to help you decide whether or not it’s the best deal for you.
GotoWebinar is one of those names that’s almost synonymous with “online webinars”. It has gathered a huge user base, so it’s a great first comparison. It also has 3 pricing tiers like most competitors.

For a 5th portion of WebinarJam’s Basic plan, you’ll have to pay $89 monthly, which makes up over $1,000 at the end of the year—nearly twice as much as WebinarJam. It’s also worth noting that attendees can’t join without downloading it in this plan, which isn’t the case with WebinarJam.
The Pro plan costs $199 monthly, and this plan lets you host webinars for up to 500 participants. This plan lets your attendees join without downloading anything and includes other features like pre-recorded webinars.
The last plan is Plus, for $429 monthly. You can host webinars for up to 2,000 attendees, which is the same size as WebinarJam’s mid-tier plan.
There’s also an Enterprise custom account for larger companies with special needs, but it doesn’t have a fixed price, so I won’t delve into it.
WebinarNinja is another popular webinars platform thanks to its focus on intuitiveness, simplicity, and offering a beginner-friendly experience. It’s basically a “done for you” approach to webinars.
You can also get a discount by paying for the full year, making it a balanced offer comparable to WebinarJam.
The Starter plan costs $49 monthly or $39 with the discount. You can host both live and automated events for up to 100 attendees on the live ones. It’s a bit cheaper than WebinarJam’s Basic plan, but it has noticeably less room.
The Pro plan costs either $95 or $79 monthly for up to 300 attendees. This one is actually closer to the Enterprise WebinarJam experience in terms of price, and it’s still smaller than the Basic plan.
The other 2 plans surpass all WebinarJam’s prices. The Plus and Power accounts cost $159-129 and $249-199 for 500 and 1,000 attendees respectively, so they can’t really compare to WebinarJam’s offer.
Zoom Webinars is the add-on for the main Zoom platform, which is one of the most popular conference platforms recently. There’s a free account, but you’ll need a paid subscription to use Zoom Webinars.
This paid subscription can be as cheap as $14.99 monthly. It’s not bad, but then you need to pay for Zoom Webinars, which can be as cheap as $40 for 100 attendees.
In other words, you’ll be paying $54.99 monthly for a much smaller plan than WebinarJam’s Basic account. If you want more attendees, you’ll have to pay even more for Zoom Webinars, so it’s an easy victory for WebinarJam.
In the end, WebinarJam is easily my main recommendation when it comes to hosting webinars. It’s very affordable—even if the yearly upfront payment can be quite big for some people—and it brings a lot more “bang for your buck” than any of the most popular competitors right now.
If you want a cost-efficient solution for the long-term—which can give you plenty of features without breaking your bank—then the upfront investment for WebinarJam is definitely worth it.
